AFAICS the E4 is the latin-1 letter "ä" so... Perhaps an ä has snuck into
the header somehow? Ah, looking at the mail I'm replying to, you have

X-ns1_ltkalmar_se-MailScanner-SpamCheck: ej spam (godkänd),

So, there it is;)
Either don't use the Swedish locale stuff (I for one use the en things,
mostly due to some strange language bits... "Swenglish" mostly:-), or
see to it that the string is coded correctly (quoted printable
perhaps?).
