yes - rule du jour only updates the extra rules you tell it about, not any
core spamassassin rules. This is SA-UPDATE's job.

good - turn the other RBL's off in spamassassin by giving them a zero score
- (check /usr/share/*spamassassin*/20_dnsbl_tests.cf or
/var/lib/spamassassin/<version>/20_dnsbl_tests.cf after you've run sa-update
for the list of RBLs in default use by spamassassin name).

Could well be you'r trying to hit dead RBL's is you've disabled them
explicitly .

Also run a local caching nameserver on the mailscanner box - yes this makes
a difference even if the main DNS server is 2ms away!
