We run RHEL5 (64-bit, Server + Virt) and install home-grown RPMs using the latest sources from CPAN for all the components not included or available via RedHat's yum channels. Take Base64.pm, for example. Included in the perl RPM on RHEL5. We just use that. Same with HTML-Tagset and many others. It works fine, but it takes work. Nate
