Duplicate messages, first the full, then a blank

Hi everyone,

I'm stumped. Intermittently, but dozens of times a day, our system sends 
the full message and body to the recipient, then a few minutes later 
sends an empty message with the same message ID to the same recipient. I 
don't know where to start looking at this.

We're running MailScanner with Sendmail.
