Hi All,

I have a MailScanner setup with Postfix as the MTA. I have been
archiving email for a while now and suddenly need to recover some email
for a client who has managed to loose the last 3 days worth of email
through a config problem.

OK. So from that it looks as though MailScanner just makes a straight
copy of the Postfix message from the hold queue. I have a single Postfix
instance that puts the message into the hold queue for MailScanner to
pick up.

What I want to know is how do I resend that file? I have been searching
the net and the mail archives etc for a while and can't find any info. I
guess someone must have needed to do this before.

Any suggestions? I have tried copying those files directly into the
postfix maildrop dir, back into the hold dir, into the incoming dir...
but neither Postfix or MailScanner picks them up.

Any help would be appreciated. I'm sure it's a simple thing to do.

Cheers,
Mark
