install failure on clean x86_64 FC3

The command you actually need is
rpm -q --queryformat='%{ARCH}' perl
which is what the install.sh script does to work out the architecture.
I installed it earlier this week on a dual-Opteron running RHEL AS4 and
installed fine, so something odd is happening in FC3 that doesn't in AS4.
