I have put together a package (originally built it for Solaris 9) which
installs Clam and SpamAssassin 3 including all their dependencies. It's
in the "other stuff" section at the bottom of the downloads
page. Download that, unpack it and run "./INSTALL-tar.sh" and
it should sit there and quietly get on with it all for you.<br><br>

the book and I have searched for the install for MS 4.33.3 and
SpamAssassin 3 on Solaris 9. <b>MailScanner 4.33.3 installed
with no problem</b>. Followed documentation for installing
SpamAssassin 2.60 posted on webpage and tried to install SpamAssassin 3
using the same directions, comes up with file errors for the
</font>perl Makefile.PL ,Make ,Make test section of install.
Perl Makefile.PL runs but when you enter make or make test to continue
the install the message no directory or file exists. They don^Òt
seem to be created? <br>

You may now get some errors about pod2text. If you do, then do this
command: <br>
# ln -s /usr/bin/pod2man /usr/bin/pod2text <br>
# make <br>
# make test <br>
</b>This will fail horribly due to the lack of the file Pod/Usage.pm so
now do this to install it: <br>
# perl -MCPAN -e shell <br>
cpan</font>> o conf prerequisites_policy ask <br>
<font face="Times New Roman, Times">cpan</font>> install Pod::Usage
<br>
<font face="Times New Roman, Times">cpan</font>> quit <br>
<font face="Times New Roman, Times"># make test <br>
<br>
Is the install for SpamAssassin 3 and MailScanner the same on
Solaris 9 as it has been for earlier versions?
