Question arising from FAQ: Do not scan attachments for single domain/address

Hi,

Been looking at the FAQs while setting up a filename/type rule to allow .chm
files in from one of our suppliers who should know better and will remain
nameless......(Vodafone!) ...... Whoops!

Anyhow, in the FAQ / Configuration / Do not scan attachments for single
domain/address (
http://www.sng.ecs.soton.ac.uk/mailscanner/serve/cache/244.html), the second
example suggests a filetype.rules file containing the following:

# FromOrTo: *@scanme.com yes
# FromOrTo: *@dontscanme.com no
# A filename can also be used in place of yes or no for
# furthur configuration
FromOrTo: default /etc/MailScanner/filetype.rules.conf
FromOrTo:*@gooddomain.com /etc/MailScanner/filetype.allow.all

The comments in this file would seem to suggest that you can use a simple
"FromOrTo: *@dontscanme.com no" syntax to prevent the file filtering rules
from affecting mail from/to the dontscanme.com domain. This does not work
however, at least not with V4.35.11 (you get a " Cannot open filename-rules
file no, skipping" in the log). Is this a relic from some older version that
it did work with, and as I figure from the filetype.allow.all example (which
I used to make it work in this instance), it is now this way by design?

Just curious.

Dan Harris.
