MailScanner not always starting correctly.

It is normal to receive the repeated messages as each MailScanner
process starts. I have had the same issue with restarting. Typically
happens if I use the "restart" option. I don't have the problems if I
stop the service and give all processes time to stop before issuing a
start command. I suspect that the init.d script is not correctly waiting
for all processes to end before issuing the start, but I haven't really
researched this.

Another strange occurrence is that sometimes when I call:  service
MailScanner start.  The MailScanner service says it starts but if I type
service MailScanner stop, I get a FAILED indicator when it tries to stop
the MailScanner component.  If I then call service MailScanner start
again
things start as they should.

One thing I did notice was the starting log information gets dumped to
maillog several times when MailScanner starts up.

Is that normal that we get those same messages dumped to the maillog
file
when MailScanner starts up?
