The version information and update time in Vispan is dependent on 2 things:

1. That I know what option the virus scanner uses to produce a version listing - currently not all AV scanners have this feature supported.
2. The autoupdate script differentiates between an update and when there is no update. The current scripts shipped with mailScanner don't all do this. e.g. Bitdefender and antivir don't they simply report that the updater has finished without any indication of whether an update actually occurred.

I'm not geting any virus definitions info out of Vispan 2.01 either:

	clamavmodule, bitdefender, and mcafee uvscan.

Probably best to post this to the message board at
	http://www.while.homeunix.net/phpBB2/index.php

	Cheers,
