Fedora Core 2 kernel upgrade

Running MailScanner 4.32.5-1 on Fedora Core 2. Recently tried upgrade to
2.6.8 kernel (Fedora Core 2 rpm). This seemed to cause RAV and Bitdefender
to stop working (cutting edge finally drew blood). Clamav continued to
work. Backed down to 2.6.7 kernel and all was well again. Anyone have a
similar experience or know why those two anti-virus apps wouldn't work
under the 2.6.8 kernel?
