From rewrite

Hi,

I have instances where the from address is rewritten in the form
displayname at gateway's_domain.com, instead of leaving what ever was
there.

Any ideas?

Oh yes
Postfix 2.1.1-5.rh9
MailScanner 4.31.6-1 (I'll upgrade just in case, but I doubt...)
