Huge delay delivering mail

Hello,

I've installed mailscanner some time ago, (and I am quite happy with it ;)
). The problem is that it takes too long between receiving the mail message
and delivering it to the recipient.

At first I thought it could be the batch mode. I configured it to scan all
the messages at the moment they arrive. It still takes a lot of time to
deliver...

any tips or ideas?
