Install Latest Version

Hello Mailscanner list,

Does anyone have a suggestion on what else I should do to fix this CPAN downloading issue?

Again, if I run CPAN from the command line to perform a download, it works fine.

It just doesn't seem to be working in the MailScanner install script.  I don't know what this means:

Warning: no success downloading '/root/.cpan/sources/authors/id/H/HA/HAARG/Test-Needs-0.002006.tar.gz.tmp18049'. Giving up on it. at /usr/share/perl5/CPAN/Distribution.pm line 379

First and foremost I would figure out why CPAN cannot download sources and once resolved and re-run

Is this going to cause any problems?

However, the install seemed to complete okay, and I restarted all of the necessary services, but I still do not ever see MailScanner processing any new emails as they come in.  When I restarted MailScanner, and viewed the maillog, and all that I see is the standard startup banners, but after that, MailScanner never does anything.

The distribution specific packages are no longer tarballs and are distributed entirely as a package.



To update your system:



rpm -Uvh MailScanner-5.3.3-1.rhel.noarch.rpm

/usr/sbin/ms-configure --update

Also, I noticed that, although it appears to be running on the system, I am not seeing the usual messages that MailScanner puts in the /var/log/maillog while processing.
