Milter not starting

The milter doesn't start itself. If you use systemd, try

systemctl enable msmilter

Otherwise, there is an init script at
/usr/lib/MailScanner/init/msmilter-init and a systemd script at
/usr/lib/MailScanner/systemd/ms-milter.
