Message is blocked in virus scanning

Hi
I have a MailScanner setup deployed where I log data to a SQL database in the same way as MailWatch.

“Always Looked Up Last = &MailDataLogging”

During the night I received a message that triggered an attachment warning message to be sent to the recipient instead of delivering the message.

"At Wed Nov 14 00:01:39 2018 the virus scanner said:
   MailScanner: Attempt to hide real filename extension
"

This does however not show up in the SQL database, which means that it seems to have been stopped before it was logged to the database.
Is there a way to make sure that even such messages are still logged so that we can see them from whatever system reads the database?
