Documentation for Use Custom Spam Scanner

I've got a few general questions about the custom spam scanner function and
how it's executed, reported,  and prioritized along with SpamAssassin and
other stuff.

Is custom spam spam scanner executed after SpamAssassin or is it run in
parallel? What I'm asking is if messages are only sent to it after it's
passed SA as non-spam and other virus scanning?

When the custom spam scanner returns a score is that used as the overall
score or is it added to the SpamAssassin score?

MailScanner whitelists still override it, right? So even if the custom spam
scanner returns a high score, whitelist will get it delivered regardless of
spam settings of store/delete?
