Hi Mark,

Thank you for your response.
Yesterday I restored a backup of the VHD to another VM and checked those settings. The quarantine folder is also owned by root and group apache. The back-up is of a time that everything was working. I did not test it overnight to see if the dir was created..
Does that make any sense?

That's not the problem. It's OK. The quarantine directory needs to be owned by postfix. That's the issue because MailScanner running as postfix can't create quarantine/yyyymmdd with it owned by root and group apache.

sudo chown postfix /var/spool/MailScanner/quarantine

I think it should be logged in the mail.log where other MailScanner log messages are logged, but I'm not sure that it is.
