Mailscanner not logging

Most likely you have the default setting in Solaris not to log from
remote. Check /etc/default/syslogd but really you should change it
with a property, check first with:

# svcprop system-log | grep log_from_remote
config/log_from_remote boolean true

Does your system say "true"?
