Enabling MailWatchLogging function causes reduced batch sizes

That's what I had expected as well but not what I am seeing on this system.
With around 3000 messages available in the HOLD queue and 40 children with
25 messages per scan, it should be picking up 25 messages per batch.
MailScanner --debug seems to go up to 7 messages without any errors. Anyhow,
I am planning to upgrade to 4.77.x and will see what happens then.
