Good news:

Esets 3.0.9 has an x64 version available which works

the bad news is that its sets the binaries permissions in /usr/sbin in 
such a way that MS can't run it :-) (chmod does wonders)

also, the .cfg file is only readable by root so once you have this 
figured out, it works, and even logs in Mailwatch.

There's still something weird in the log output but I hope to have that 
figured out and send you a fix or cry for help
