MailScanner: extracting attachments

Since I upgraded from 4.66 to 4.67, my MailScanner process has been running
at 100% CPU and not processing any messages.  Doing a 'ps aux' shows the
process 'MailScanner: extracting attachments'.  What is the difference
between the two versions?  What could be causing this?
