How do you release the message?
Do you copy the df- and qf-files to /var/spool/mqueue or
/var/spool/mqueue.in. In the latter case the message is scanned again.
If you copy them to /var/spool/mqueue sendmail picks it up without problems.

For speed I tell sendmail to process that message instantly.
