Problems with certain mails being handled by mailscanner - mails just disappear

You can't do that, but if you can get the message in your MTA's queue 
file format then you can tell MailScanner to just scan a particular 
message id in a particular queue directory, with all the debug output 
switched on, and it will do that.
Run
    MailScanner --help
to see all the delightful command-line switches you have available.
