Problem with remote restart of service

Hello,

I'm having a problem starting/restarting mailscanner with ssh.
When I do:
ssh root at machine1 /etc/init.d/MailScanner restart
it does restart the service but i have to crtl+c to get back the bash...
This is a bit of a problem with some remote scripts i have implemented.
This problem doesnt exist in older versions of MailScanner (4.66.5)

Any ideias?
