Mailscanner not working after update on Fedora 8

hmmm, that seems like MS does not understand the data stream from SendMail. Never seen that as on Postfix, sorry. Googled ?

Mail is coming and going finaly. Thank you all so much for your help with this.

May I bother you with one more issue? When I look into the maillog file I keep seeing this before each message that is delivered:

Virus and Content Scanning: Starting
Nov 12 14:46:12 MailScanner[6535]: ERROR: Not supported data format

Any idea what this means? Is the virus scanner I am using, clamav, not working?
Thank you again,
Ben

I found the debug command in the Mailscanner.conf file enabled that and started. I did not recieve any errors. I took a look and it seemed that i did not have any spamassin installed. I installed that (not enabled, just installed) started mailscanner again. Still no inbound mail it seems..

may need the path but not sure on Fedora, sorry. Are there any error messages in /var/log/maillog ?

How would I do that? I normaly just start it using the /etc/init.d/Mailscanner

I noticed in the /var/log/maillog I get thefollowing over and over again:

Thank you again!

I tried what you suggested (and did a yum install of the the files listed in the /var/tmp). I started mailscanner and it started right up. However, I am not seeing any mail going through the server. When I do a ps -A I see alot of: MailScanner <defunct>. With my luck, I just broke more things...

OK. It sounds like the build script can't build any of the RPMs.

It would help if you'd post the actual error, and a bit of the build
output just before the error.
