Forcing processing of mails in incomming queue

I have done about the same. But I had the luck to have more than one
system. So I moved the complete queue over to the other working machine.
If I remember correctly it had nothing to do with MailScanner but there
was a problem with the hardware. The disk could be mounted in another
system so I could get to the files.
