Bryan,

I agree with Denis--you have waaaay too many MailScanner processes. One 
of our production servers is a dual intel xeon and has 2 GB of RAM, and 
we're running 10 children on it.

Unless your system has 13 CPU cores (hyperthreading doesn't count), you 
shouldn't have 65 children. Change it down to something like the 
recommended 5 per cpu and see what happens.
