MailScanner sending Blank Emails

What version of Sendmail? If prior to 8.13.x (more or less) you should
have "Lock Type" set to flock (in MailScanner.conf)...
If more modern, and assuming a relatively up-to-date MailScanner, it
should default to posix ... no harm in being explicit though.
