Upgrade to clamav 0.90.2 makes scanning extremely slow

I have:

Incoming Work Permissions = 0640
Incoming Work User = postfix
Incoming Work Group = clamv

The clamav user and group both exist.  As well, postfix and clamav are in each other's groups.  Clamd runs as clamav.
