using mysql w/ spamassassin in a MailScanner stack?

Hi all,

 

I would like to use MySQL to manage the per-user settings for SpamAssassin (i.e. database replacement for user_prefs), as per the following document:

Of course, the document assumes that I'm using spamd, which obviously isn't the case on a MailScanner system.  Has anybody had any success making this work in a MailScanner setup?
