I haven't removed the sendmail start script, because at this point, I
think I still need it. As I mentioned in one of the earlier messages in
this thread, if I don't start sendmail using the "service sendmail
start" command, then nothing listens on port 25--which would cut down on
spam and server load :) but obviously not a good idea. Until I can get
MailScanner to start a sendmail process listening on port 25, I can't
remove/disable the sendmail start script.
