AFAIK it is "endemic" to USA (and base-/softball), but .... with
information being what it is in this day and age, I suppose most would
understand the underlying meaning:-)... Heck, Swedish schools has let
go of the strict British English edict and now only require that you
choose one (American or British ... No Australian, unfortunately:-)
and stick with it. Being taught in the old tradition, I of course find
this abominable:-):-)
