Connection refused

check your /etc/mail/sendmail.mc
make sure you have the line
dnl DAEMON_OPTIONS(`Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA')dnl
without the dnl in front only locahost will be able to connect to
sendmail
then do a "service MailScanner restart"
