OT: Whats the best way to update ClamAV?

Hi, I recently changed to the virus scanners option to clamavmodule to
resolve separate issue. 

I'm just wondering if this means that I need to change the way that I update
ClamAV. Do you update ClamAV in the same way if using clamavmodule? I'm not
really clear on the distinction between the two.

Any guidance would be appreciated.
