Recursive archive attachment expansion and filetype/name checks

Spamassassin 3.0.4
Perl  v5.8.6 built for i386-openbsd

default @INC prioritises openbsd compiled modules vs MS

OBSD specific modifications
    sed path fixes applied

Installation customisation
    paths fixed on all MS conf files (and no errors generated)

Tests performed
    directly attached filetypes: detected ok
    directly attached filenames: detected ok
    gz directly attached: FAILED - propable cause the 'file' identification
as 'compressed' as opposed to 'archive'
                                   Does this have a baring on my problem? -
Does the unpacking initiation depend on the 'file' output?
                                   Deny Filetype = compressed provided a
succesful identification by MS
    Win32/EXE gzipped: FAILED
