syslog buffering in FreeBSD

  I am trying to tune up my Mailscanner installation for performance on
Free BSD
I want to enable syslog buffering as per
http://wiki.mailscanner.info/doku.php?id=maq:index  

I have been searching for syslog buffering , any pointers ?
