Which logs to monitor to ensure MailScanner/SPAMASSASSIN are working???

Assuming you have left MailScanner.conf's logging options as the  
default then /var/log/maillog is all you have t look at. Don't forget  
that under FreeBSD you need to start MailScanner some thing like '/ 
usr/local/etc/rc.d/mailscanner.sh start' it doesn't start with your MTA.
