Performance Issues

I'm running MailScanner in my Exim based MX with 20K+
boxes. Since sunday, my mail queue doesn't get lower
than 12K without human interference.
Anyone having same problems lately?

Machine:
PIV HT 2.8GHz, 1GB RAM

Versions I use:
Fedora Core 3

2.6.11-1.14_FC3smp
Exim 4.50 (compiled)
Clamav 0.85.1 (compiled)
perl-5.8.5-12.FC3
mailscanner-4.41.3-1 (rpm based)

I have 5 mailscanner children running.
I upgraded MailScanner monday. Same behaviour.

I appreciate any tips.
