this line does it:
bayes_expiry_max_db_size 1000000

That's the no. of tokens which gets used. If I remember correctly it tries 
expiring when 75% of that is reached.
You shouldn't put it up too drastically in one jump, because that can 
spoil the expiry algorithm when it later kicks in.

Still, I would be interested to see some answers to the few questions I 
had in my earlier posting.
