Scan for viruses before scanning for spam

Is there a way to scan for viruses before scanning for spam or to scan
forwarded messages for viruses? The problem we have is we set MailScanner
to forward all spam to a mailbox, when it forwards it, it doesn't scan the
message for viruses. We use SA 2.64 and McAfee virus scan.
