Ok, the saga continues! I'm going to get this to work! :)
I've tried to install the BETA version 4.41.1-2 on x86_64 Fedora 3
system. Thinking everything with the install has been put behind me, but
I've got more issues with Fedora3 and the install.
Attached is the error log for perl-Archive-Zip-1.14-1, since it errors
out with the following errors :

Maybe it did not build correctly?
When I try and to start MailScanner, I get the following :

I've tried to find perl-Archive-Zip-1.14.-1.noarch.rpm from the net, and
I did find it on freshrpms.net. I tried to install it and it gave me an
error about not having MODULE_COMPAT_5.8.6 installed. So I remembered I
could install perl modules by the command line by cpan.
I installed Archive::Zip via cpan and MailScanner started like
clockwork! Presto!
I'm doing some tests as we speak, but all is good so far. I've only sent
a hand full of messages so far with MailScanner, so my config might be a
little weird, but it is sending messages. So if your running x86_64 on a
Fedora 3 core system with everything installed and all your yum updates
are good, you might have an issue installing Archive-Zip, but you can
install it with cpan and everything seems to be fine after this.
Anyone else experiencing this??

I just got back from on the road and tried uninstalling

have
zlib-1.2.1.2-1 on my FC3 machine.
I'm a little confused with this. Is perl-Compress-Zlib and
zlib-1.2.2.2-1 the same and I can upgrade to zlib-1.2.2.2-1
to solve my
problems with installing per-Compress-Zlib?
Attached is the install.sh log and what errored out...

RHEL4 (i pasted some of his post in below) -
these were required to

therefore didnt have this problem)
Is there any reason you would use FC3 over CentOS
4 for a mailscanner
machine?

It is probably having trouble with
Compress-Zlib. Try uninstalling
perl-Compress-Zlib (rpm -e
perl-Compress-Zlib) and then running
install.sh again.
perl-Archive-Zip itself doesn't do
anything platform-dependent I think,
it's Compress-Zlib that does the hard
work.

Do not worry too much about errors from the next command.
It is quite likely that some of the Perl modules are
already installed on your system.
