sorry for creating the confusion:
repeating (top posting) what i wrote earlier a bit more clearly

CentOS 4x (based on rhel4) uses selinux (Security Enhanced Linux), which
during installation can be set to the following 3 options.
a. Enable (to enable selinux)
b. Warn (to enable but only warn and not interfere otherwise)
c. Disable (to completely disable selinux)

While selinux is great in file / print environments, i currently see not
much use for it in a relay only mail server (i may be wrong though).

Apart from that CentOS 4x comes with the following packages:
a. SpamAssassin 3.0.1 compared to 2.64 in centos 3.x
b. MySQL 4.x (which i prefer for mailwatch) compared to 3.23 in centos 3.x
c. Postfix 2.1.x rather than 2.0.x with centos 3.x
d. Kernel 2.6 as opposed to 2.4 in centos 3.x

Apart from that, yum (a utility for package management and to keep your
server updated) is much faster compared to previous versions..

hope that clears all doubts.. if you need any further help installing
centos4 (or even 3.x) i could be contacted off the list. i recently upgraded
4 servers to centos4.x and am quite happy with the performance and so far do
not notice any compatibility or performance related issues.
