Upgrade problems - errors

OK ... Did a rpm -Uvh --force
/usr/src/redhat/RPMS/i386/perl-MIME-Base64-3.03-1.i386.rpm and restarted
MailScanner and it seems to be working again and the PDF corruption seems to
be gone.

Is this something that is missing from the install??

Thanks for your feedback.

Dave

Subject: Upgrade problems - errors

Hi,

In trying to solve a PDF corruption problem, Julian suggested that I update
to MailScanner 4.34.4, MIME::Base64 3.03 and MIME-tools 5.413. I did this
and didn't notice any errors and everything seemed to install OK. Restarted
MailScanner and the logs show the following:

 Cannot parse /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming/11846/i8PEBIw7017451.header
and , MIME::QuotedPrint version 3.03 required--this is only version 2.03 at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/MIME/Decoder/QuotedPrint.pm line 57.

Sep 25 10:11:56 rosewood MailScanner[11846]: Compilation failed in require
at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.8.0/MIME/Decoder.pm line 171.

And a bit further down:

Could not open file

Sep 25 10:19:50 rosewood MailScanner[17530]: Cannot create + lock headers
file /var/spool/MailScanner/incoming/17530/i8PEJjGA017608.header,

Basically... No mail is flowing thru my server at the moment so any help is
appreciated ;-(
