Filename/Filetype Rules

Thanks Julian,

One thing I forgot to mention in the original question in addition was
whether it is possible to handle this functionality with a custom
function instead of using flat files. Currently I have a datasource in
CDB of what filenames/filetypes with user preferences.  From the
description though it sounds like this might be a little difficult (if
even possible) to handle with a custom function.  I guess for now I
could work around this by just regenerating the configuration files
periodicially.
