Gang,

Alas, This guy won't compile with Sun's cc (Forte) compiler:

cp SAVI.pm blib/lib/SAVI.pm
AutoSplitting blib/lib/SAVI.pm (blib/lib/auto/SAVI)
/usr/bin/perl /opt/perl5/lib/5.8.5/ExtUtils/xsubpp  -typemap
/opt/perl5/lib/5.8.5/ExtUtils/typemap -typemap typemap  SAVI.xs > SAVI.xsc
&& mv SAVI.xsc SAVI.c
Please specify prototyping behavior for SAVI.xs (see perlxs manual)
/opt/SUNWspro/bin/cc -c  -I. -I/opt/openssl/include
-I/opt/BerkeleyDB/include -I/usr/local/include -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE
-D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -O   -DVERSION=\"0.20\" -DXS_VERSION=\"0.20\" -KPIC
"-I/opt/perl5/lib/5.8.5/sun4-solaris/CORE"   SAVI.c
"sav_if/s_comput.h", line 838: #error: Unsupported compiler
cc: acomp failed for SAVI.c
gmake: *** [SAVI.o] Error 2

I reduced the full path of Forte C down to "cc" and it didn't work.
I'll report this to Paul Henson and see what he says.
