I CANT STOP RELAY !!

Two ways pop to mind.

It seems you will need the entry in your access file to allow relay of
your organization. the trick is to allow incoming/outgoing mail for
valid users only. This will stop Dictionary attacks due to the fact
sdfafafw at domain.com is not a valid account.

1) Do some research on /etc/host_allow .... Look at this link
http://www.sendmail.org/tips/relaying.html

2) Depending on your environment you can use LDAP lookup of a white list
to determine valid user accounts! I like this method.
Look at this link

I have seen the same thing with MailScanner. When I run
sendmail by itself the access db works but when I install MailScanner it
doesn't. I have been looking into MailScanner to see if there is a way
to do this other than the access db via MailScanner.

Would a sendmail mailing list not be more helpful? This is
clearly an
MTA issue and has nothing to do with MailScanner. Besides:
Posting HTML
mails to mailing lists is not really considered good style.

Sorry I have no answer for you but I am no sendmail guru...

        JP
