mailfilter.crm doesn't require any outside software for Bayesian processing.
It a stand alone implementation based on a specific, interpreted, language
(CRM114) which was designed for building filtering applications (like
mailfilter.crm). There is a very in depth tech spec on their website:

Again, it doesn't require, or use, other software in processing. It takes a
completely different approach to the filtering, including Bayesian, than SA
which is "supposed" to result in far faster and more accurate processing. If
you go to http://crm114.sourceforge.net/ you will find, toward the bottom,
other filtering software written using the CRM114 language that have nothing
to do with spam.
