Previously I've subscribed to the MailScanner list now and again (usually to
ask a specific question / follow a particular thread) but have relied on
freshmeat.net (http://freshmeat.net/projects/mailscanner/) to send me
details of MailScanner new releases.

Has the freshmeat.net new release notification process now been stopped?  If
not, what is the purpose of the new announcements-only list?
