attachment delays

Try turning on the speed logging and see where exactly your bottleneck is.
It's not a "delay time" that you can "adjust and control"; it's likely you
need to tune your particular configuration in order to reduce the time
needed to scan attachments for viruses.
What antivirus are you using? What version?

Subject: attachment delays
Hi Everyone,
My clients have been noticing that emails with attachments are delayed. My
test
showed approximately 20 minutes. I've combed the FAQ/MAQ to find some
similar issues. The MAQ mentions the rationale of order in mail processing,
but
does not describe if the admin has the ability to adjust it.
Is there anything I can look into to adjust or control this delay time?
My specs:
fedora core 2
mailscanner-4.30.3-2
sendmail-8.12.11-4.6
Intel 2.8 GHz CPU
1 Gig Memory
Machine processes ~30,000 messages a day.
Any help in the right direction would be appreciated.
Thank you.
